CREATIVE INSPIRATION: MCGEE & CO.

It was hard to decide what I loved more about McGee & Co. / Studio McGee how they started and built their business or the drool worthy interior renovation or the absolutely gorgeous home design products they sell. Can I say I'm inspired by all of the above.

As a small business owner building my brand I've found it extremely challenging to figure out what is my next steps or questioning can I really do this. So I'm always on the hunt for brands and companies that inspire and tell a story. McGee & Co was this for me. 

This husband and wife duo had a humble beginning with true struggles that we all face but managed to work through this to create what you see today.

"Studio McGee was created in a spare bedroom with lots of big ideas and no room for fabric samples. After many late nights of brainstorming and collaboration, husband and wife team, Syd and Shea McGee decided to take what was a small business for a stay-at-home mom and turn it into something much more.”

Recently the duo launched a show for Netflix called Dream Home Makeover and also published their book called “ Make Life Beautiful” that already has rose to the top of the New York Times Best Sellers List.  This couple and brand just keep on moving forward and creating beauty and products that we can all admire.  

After getting inspired and spending sometime looking at what decor and furnishings McGee & Co. offers I put together some of my favorites in the curated board below.

These specific pieces came together to create a cozy homey vibe I love. I’ve said before warm neutrals layered with blue tones are my current obsession and these pieces do this palette justice!
